This piece was created using Vogue and WWD pages. I intentionally created the piece to be split not quite in the middle in my sketchbook. The image on the right is cut at the top to reveal a backdrop roll, insinuating that this is all just a set, which in many ways, a lot of what we see is just a well curated and planned image. The women, though taken from their original context, are still positioned in their original way just in a compaletely new setting, changing the context in which they are viewed. From an editorial to a surrealist portrayal of the nature behind them. The wrinkle of the wet to dry paper and texture of being stuck in a sketchbook add to the physical feel that I enjoy in every piece.
